Day Four

Day Four Early in the morning, the people in tent two will wake up when their tent begins to shake violently. It will ultimately collapse on them. When they wake up, they will find no one outside. Instead, they will see heavy clouds on the horizon. Also, it looks like someone has gone through the Nations' things. Various belongings have been thrown around camp-- clothes, towels, batteries, toilet paper, food, etc. More food items have been eaten. It is much cooler than it was yesterday and a strong, cool breeze blows. The waves are bigger and it would be dangerous to go out too far. Most nations should be able to tell a storm is coming. Electronic devices do not work. The only way to find out what the weather forecast will be is to use the emergency radio or your own instincts. As the day goes on, the wind will become stronger. Tents might start to come undone and blow in the wind. The weather is getting increasingly worse and they will have to find better shelter. The forest and spring appear normal. Status Weather: Cool, windy, very cloudy. It will rain on and off all day. A storm is coming. Electronics: Music players will play static. The emergency radio is able to pick up weather reports. Cameras: The lighting effects from the previous day are much more visible. Now, you will be able to make out shapes in the photos. They will be able to see different types of faces, hands, and the lower part of a body, etc. In the photos, you will also notice that the figures are getting closer to the people in them. The figures come closer with every photo you take. Be careful of who you take pictures of. Cell phones: Everyone will be able to get a signal at some point during the day for a brief amount of time! However, calls don't seem to go through for some reason. Animals: All pets will disappear. Magic: Ineffective. Nothing will work. ???: Various belongings find themselves randomly thrown around outside. Romania's books are missing. He will find black feathers where his books used to be. [Goes into Eastern Europe's tent to dig through Lithuania's bag, pulling out the first aid kit.]

Here, catch. [Poland throws Turkey the bottle of aspirin, pulling out a bottle of cold medicine for himself.]

[ Totally going to dry swallow that. ]

You should probably change. I think your sweatshirt is gonna freak out anyone who isn't freaking out yet.

[Poland tears off some paper off a roll of toilet paper to use as a tissue.]

Which is probably like no one at this point, but whatever.

Yeah, probably should. [ He looks down at his jacket once more, tugging at it ]

Damn, and I really liked this one too.

Maybe they'll come out after soaking it with some hydrogen peroxide and throwing it in the wash.

[Although by the time they get to a washing machine that stain will have been set in for forever...]

But, I'll buy you a new one when we get home.

Poland stop going through his stuff /THREADJACKS

[Lithuania ends up back at camp looking like he's spent a night out in the forest and gotten a bit scratched up but otherwise unharmed. It was surprisingly easy to get turned around after running from a demon and then finding night had fallen.

He actually spots Poland a moment or two before Turkey, simply used to searching out that particular head of blond hair. But then he sees Turkey, or more accurately Turkey's clothes, and he hurries over.]

Ah... [He's not really sure what to say if what looks like had happened actually happened. He can't help but look Poland over, too, and he's a little guilty at being so relieved the other nation looks more or less unharmed, if obviously soaking wet.]

poland does what he wants!!

Hey, ya alright?

[He'll look Hong Kong over skeptically. ]

You and IJsland really saw something in the forest?

[bauhinia]

More than 'saw,' yeah. It took his puffin and bit him. [ He doesn't seem fazed by the skepticism. ]

The puffin really is gone?

[. . . he's so glad he left his rabbit at home.]

[ Hong Kong looks a little grim, or grim for him. ]

Yeah, that thing ate him. I saw it happen.

Damn straight.

[Poland's voice totally cracked because it's sore, not from being worried about you all night or anything.]

Yes, I'm alright. [Just tired, really; it wasn't as if he was about to sleep in that forest. He frowns at the both of them.]

After I left--what happened?

It ate the puffin?

[Even he's looking incredulous.]

Opened its mouth and pretty much swallowed him whole. [ It was pretty gruesome, really. ]

That's. . .

[. . . horrifying. He almost feels bad for the kid, IJsland.]

I could go; if only to see something like that for myself.

[ Horrifying is probably the word Hong Kong would use. He's still sort of in shock, honestly. ]

That'd be great, yeah. We're trying to get as many as possible, y'know?

[Lithuania's been gone all night. But he's back! He looks like he's been wandering around all night, and he's clearly still at least a little shaken, but at least he's here.]

[volcanoes]

[Iceland nods, and then sighs at the entire situation.]

This is all so stupid. I hate hiking. Why'd they send us to some haunted island anyway?

[bauhinia]

You hate hiking? [ That seems like a somewhat specific thing to pick out. ]

I'm gonna guess this was someone's idea of a joke. Because like, none of them have a sense of humor to speak of.

[ "Them" presumably being... the UN? Other nations? Who knows. He might just mean adults in general. ]

[volcanoes]

Yeah. It's too much work. [Iceland is just picking out something normal to complain about, really.]

Maybe they really wanted all of us to work together. [Frowning.] Do you think we can fire people in the UN?

[Iceland they don't give you that ability for this exact reason.]

I never thought of you as lazy. [ Something about the way he says it hints that he still doesn't. ]

There's gotta be better ways. And you tell me, because if there is, I wanna know.

[ He doesn't want to get stuck doing this again. ]

You don't have to be lazy to not want to go hiking. [But he will still go with Hong Kong to the mansion because otherwise Hong Kong would go alone or something.]

Maybe if we complain enough we can at least get rid of the guys who picked this place.

[bauhinia]

I don't think you're lazy. [ He says this in a kind of pseudo-enigmatic sort of way. And that's quite true, he would go alone. ]

And make sure it's totally like, taken off the list of places to go after this.
