Night Four

Night Four

The first part of the storm will come in the middle of the night. Until then, the wind will blow so strong that tents will not be able to hold their ground. The waves from the beach are eating away at the shore. Soon, there will not be a beach left. If characters are still on the beach, they will have no choice but to retreat to a safer place.

The woods will be quiet. There is a strange air around the spring. As the characters walk through the woods, they will feel someone or something tugging at their clothes or hands. The feeling never lasts for very long but be careful.

Everything will be normal at the mansion. The front light will be on. No one will answer the door but it will be unlocked. The inside is dark and dusty. It does not look like anyone has lived in the house for a long time. Electricity in the house will work.
First floor: Foyer, kitchen, living room, dining area, waiting room, servants' quarters, a small office near the servants' quarters, and a pantry.

Second floor: Corridors. All of the doors are locked.

Attic: Nothing. The door leading to the attic is locked.

Status

Weather: Stormy. High winds, heavy rain, thunder, and lightening.

Electronics: No signals. Music players will work. Batteries die faster than usual.

Cameras: The lighting effects from the previous day are much more visible. Now, you will be able to make out shapes in the photos. They will be able to see different types of faces, hands, and the lower part of a body, etc. In the photos, you will also notice that the figures are getting closer to the people in them. The figures come closer with every photo you take. Be careful of who you take pictures of.

Animals: All pets will disappear.

Magic: Ineffective. Nothing will work.

???: A tugging sensation will be felt as you walk through the forest. Following the pull will cause characters to become separated from the group and lost in the woods.

Staying near the spring for too long will cause characters to be drawn closer to it. They will want to go into the water and will keep walking until someone stops them. The longer they are near the spring, the greater the effect.

There is no "owner" to be found in the mansion.

Food items from camp can be found in the mansion. Some of it is half eaten but for the most part, it looks fine.

Monaco will find her playing cards in the servants' quarters.

At night, small bells can be heard along with footsteps in other rooms. Investigation will show nothing.

Around midnight a voice will say, "Lights out." And the lights will cut off. You will be able to turn them back on.

[That's it. He wants to go home and he wants to go now.

Latvia had done nothing all day but fret and as night fell every little sound and movement had made him flinch. Even though it seemed like the safest place, he didn't want to go to the mansion, he'd built up his own paranoia too much.

Somehow he found himself at the spring again. The tugging sensation had just gotten too much and he panicked and ran. Latvia's not sure why he came here, maybe he'd somehow come to associate it as a safe place. Huddled at the very edge of the spring, just about ready to cry he finds himself almost paralyzed.

Kitchen

[Greece isn't rattled by much, but he can admit that he's beginning to detest the atmosphere brought on by the storm and... everything else. He won't let it get to him, even if he listens and doesn't try to disprove any claims made.

So, he's retired to the kitchen, glad to be out of the rain and wind. He's brewing coffee (maybe you followed the scent?), and he's willing to share that and the last of a particular jar of sweets - although he isn't happy that he's running out of them sooner than he expected. He has a question for everyone who passes by:]

Have you seen the cat?
