Day One

Day One The nations arrive on the nameless island by boat at mid-afternoon. They will be dropped off at a quiet dock and boat will leave shortly after. At the end of the dock, they will find some items that have been sent ahead for them by their bosses. Among these items are: - Four tents - Packs of bottled water and snacks - A fishing net and a pair of poles - Two pots and a pan - Four first aid kits - A limited supply of alcohol - An emergency radio - A limited supply matches/lighters - Two maps of the island The beach is nice; clean with white sand and a shady forest up the shore. Aside from the sounds of the waves, seagulls, and the wind blowing through the forest, the island is silent. The nations wanted to a deserted, tropical island getaway and this is certainly the right place for it. The Nations can begin to set up camp or try to explore the island. Due to the time they arrived on the island, they won't be able to get too far before night falls. Activity Weather: Sunny, clear, and warm with the occasional cool breeze. Electronics: Electronic items will work fine during the day without issue. If you're desperate to update your Tw*tter account, you might get lucky and find an area on the beach with a faint signal. It will take a few tries and some patience but you will be able to update your social network of choice or make a brief phone call before you lose connection. Magic: Magic will work normally on the island during the day. Animals: Any animal companions brought to the island by a nation will stay close to their companion. Otherwise, they will act normally. ???: No unusual activity. Day One | Night One Day 2 will go up on 4 June

Y'know, I honestly don't know. [ But his ego just got bigger, that's for sure. ]

I could go ask England or something. He's pretty bad at everything so if anyone took a bad picture of you it's probably him. [He's lying there's no way he'd go talk to England about anything except how stupid England is. Also is it even possible for your ego to get bigger?]

Yeah, probably when I was littler or something. [ Whoa, let's not pursue that train of thought. Nor speculate about how stupid England may or may not be....

And yes, it is completely possible for his ego to get bigger. It is only limited in a horizontal sense. It can grow infinitely in a vertical direction. ]

[Iceland doesn't want to think about baby pictures. Or baby portraits, which Iceland can't guarantee Norway doesn't have on him at any moment somehow.]

Get revenge, take pictures of England.

[ He retrieves his own phone and starts moving around a little. ]

You can get a couple of bars if you try long enough.

Yeah? [Waving his phone around like he's dousing for water with it. But really what he's doing is way more important than that, and--aha.] Next time our bosses set something like this up we have to get them to pick somewhere in civilization.

Probably. [Sighing as if this is all at least twice as worse as it actually is.] Stupid boring islands with nothing on them it is, then.

I guess. There's supposed to be a mansion we're not allowed to go in, right?

[Pause.]

We could at least look around outside it, if we can find it.

Yeah? And why not inside? [ He doesn't have a long history of listening when he's told he can't do things. ]

[volcanoes]

That's just what my boss said. [So one of the few people Iceland actually listens to.]

The signal might be better over that way, if someone lives here.

Oh, I gotcha. [ Iceland is much better behaved than he is. ]

Good point. D'you think anyone's gonna miss us if we wander off?

[That says something about how badly behaved Hong Kong is.]

It's probably not that far. I mean, how big could the island be? Everyone else is busy setting up tents anyway.

[ He's very much in the midst of his teenage rebellious phase. He has been for... a few decades. ]

Yeah, that's what I was thinking too. [ He looks out, along the beach, toward the trees. ] So, you wanna?

[Iceland dips in and out of his phase with the consistency of his volcanoes, which is to say no consistency and it often startles those around him.]
