rizaia | Day One

Day One

The nations arrive on the nameless island by boat at mid-afternoon. They will be dropped off at a quiet dock and boat will leave shortly after. At the end of the dock, they will find some items that have been sent ahead for them by their bosses. Among these items are:

- Four tents
- Packs of bottled water and snacks
- A fishing net and a pair of poles
- Two pots and a pan
- Four first aid kits
- A limited supply of alcohol
- An emergency radio
- A limited supply matches/lighters
- Two maps of the island

The beach is nice; clean with white sand and a shady forest up the shore. Aside from the sounds of the waves, seagulls, and the wind blowing through the forest, the island is silent. The nations wanted to a deserted, tropical island getaway and this is certainly the right place for it. The Nations can begin to set up camp or try to explore the island. Due to the time they arrived on the island, they won't be able to get too far before night falls.

Activity
Weather: Sunny, clear, and warm with the occasional cool breeze.

Electronics: Electronic items will work fine during the day without issue. If you're desperate to update your Tw*tter account, you might get lucky and find an area on the beach with a faint signal. It will take a few tries and some patience but you will be able to update your social network of choice or make a brief phone call before you lose connection.

Magic: Magic will work normally on the island during the day.

Animals: Any animal companions brought to the island by a nation will stay close to their companion. Otherwise, they will act normally.

???: No unusual activity.

[ Happily enjoying the light breeze over by the beach, taking it as a chance to work on a dress she started sewing before she came to the island, looking back up at the sky every once in awhile, a very fancy looking hat shading her face for now. ]

Really pretty...

[Oh, it's that girl Switzerland asked him to take care off. Better go and check in on her. Not because she's cute and all. Nope. Just looking out for his well-being here.]

Hey Vögelchen, what are you doing? You should be having fun with the rest of us, not sitting by yourself here.

[Switzerland had threatened to cut off his tongue if he so much as dropped a 'shit' around the girl. Not willing to test that theory, Prussia's being as careful as ever with his language.]

[ She jumped at the sound, a small squeak coming out of her before she looked back with a small, polite smile. ]

Hmm, I like it here now... [ Nope, not shy at all and not used to holding her brothers arm at places like this. Not at all. ]

That and the sky looks pretty so I wanted to stay here for a bit?

The sky is the same everywhere, Vögelchen, whether it's here or back home.

[He drops down to sit next to her.]

What's that you're working on?

Hmm, well, in the alps it's always much prettier. [ She blinks, fidgeting for a moment before shrugging off the small awkward feeling. ]

A dress!

A dress, huh?

[He sticks a hand out to touch the fabric.]

It definitely looks cute. Who is it for?

[ She giggled, bringing closer to his hand and putting the needle away for now. ]

It's for Hungary!

Hu-Hungary!? That's---

---very nice of you!!

[Though it does look like he's swallowed something very, very sour, even if he's smiling.]

[ Watch her not get why he looks like that. ]

...come on, let's go do something fun you can only do at the beach!!! Up up, Vögelchen, you can sew your dress later at home!

A-alright! Although I can't swim. [ WHAT IS BEACH. WHAT IS THE SEA. Oh, the joys of landlocked countries. She put everything away in a corner, all neatly stacked and folded before getting up, with a suddenly very confused smile. ]

What do you want to do?

Hmm...if you can't swim, how about sandcastles instead? Would you like the best sandcastle around?

Sandcastles! Yes, I would like that!

[ She already loves fairy tales, this is a bit much since she is very giddy about it and pretty much skipping off to the shore ahead of him. ]

I'm sure we can make the best?

[He grins at her excitement.]

You kidding? We'll make the fu-, I mean, the best sandcastle there ever is, or I'm not the Awesome Prussia!!

[ She looked back and grinned herself, nodding. ]

I'm sure you will!

Let's get started then! I'll go around and see whether I can get any buckets or pails or something to scoop the sand in.

[He disappears for a few minutes, only to return with some discarded coconut shells from India.]

Here, we can use these instead, and improvise!

[ She nodded, waving a few sea shells she found. Colorful, they caught her eyes easily. ]

We can use these things too, right?

Yeah, they can be the coat of armour for the castle. Ready to get your hands dirty? Because we'll be using a whole lotta sand and sea water to make this the best castle ever.

Hmhm! I haven't done this before though, I'll try my best!

[ Way to excited right now! ]

[And off they go! Prussia's really into this too. Sometimes he does get a bit impatient with her, but really he's a whole lot more patient with her than any other Nation, even his brother. And the most important thing to him is that she has fun.]

[ She'll skip the whole way, fighting the urge to end up singing on the way, instead she hums. Lots of fun! Although all of this is new to her so... ]

[That's fine. Prussia might even know that song that she's humming. Pausing in his work, he looks up and raises an eyebrow with surprise.]

What song is that?

Hmm, I don't know, Austria used to play this tone a lot when I was with him. [ And that smile shifted just a bit, going for a slightly more shallow smile. Might have just a hint of sadness to it, but she shrugged it off quick enough, feeling how the mud molded in her hands with a giggle. ]

It feels very nice you know?

...hmph. I guess. I don't really like that guy's music.

Why not? I find it all rather lovely...
