Night One

Weather: Cool with clear skies and a light breeze. Electronics: Overall, electronics function normally. Unlike during the day, Nations will be completely unable to catch any signals. Sorry, you'll have to update your F*cebook another time. Things of note: Hong Kong's MP3 player will freeze when he tries to listen to it. Turning it off and then back on will correct the issue. The batteries in Cuba and Latvia's flashlights will die despite the fact they had new batteries in them. They will have to replace the batteries to get the flashlights to work again. Contrary to everyone else's wireless troubles, Iceland will be the only nation with any sort of signal on his cell phone. He will not have any problems with his phone. Magic: Magic is very effective tonight, some times too effective. It must be the work of the full moon. Animals: Pets will stay close to their owners but otherwise act normally. ???: A voice speaks to Italy. Iceland and Hong Kong go to the mansion but are unable to explore further. The United Nations is notified and sends a reminder out. Iceland is the only one able to receive it. Germany, China, Netherlands, Seychelles, and Japan hear things in the middle of the night. Day 2 will go up on 4 June. |

They're all well.
[A short pause in which the older nation is getting a quick observing glance.] Iceland, right?

Yeah. You're New Zealand?

[because unlike the advertisement industry, Kiwi actually checks the alternatives out before calling something the best. Not that that changes the result, most of the times, but.
A short pause, then, in Icelandic, though with a horrible pronounciation and grammar:] I tried to learn a bit of the language, but I guess that failed.

...I'll come visit you sometime. [When he has money to go visit people again.]

maybe this trip wasn't that bad an idea after all. Even when they had to leave their pets behind.]
You can always stay at my house. [Concentration, and then there is a second try at Icelandic, which only turns out to have immaculate grammar because it is ripped directly from a phrase book. Doesn't fix the pronounciation, though.] I'll show you around my home.

[Not getting to close, because a healthy respect for the danger of animals is a prerogative for surviving in certain parts of the world. And considering the pets that Australia keeps, "pet" does not equal "harmless".]

[Iceland grabs him by the beak; Puffin he is trying to make friends.] Emergency food rations. [He gets smacked with a wing for that.]

[And then green eyes wander back to Iceland, still smiling.] That is always a good thing to have.
