Night One After an excited day, night falls on the island. The beach is surprisingly bright at night thanks to the full moon above. As it was during the day, the island is very quiet at night and sounds consist of calming waves, soothing wind, chirping insects, and birds in the forest. Status Weather: Cool with clear skies and a light breeze. Electronics: Overall, electronics function normally. Unlike during the day, Nations will be completely unable to catch any signals. Sorry, you'll have to update your F*cebook another time. Things of note: Hong Kong's MP3 player will freeze when he tries to listen to it. Turning it off and then back on will correct the issue. The batteries in Cuba and Latvia's flashlights will die despite the fact they had new batteries in them. They will have to replace the batteries to get the flashlights to work again. Contrary to everyone else's wireless troubles, Iceland will be the only nation with any sort of signal on his cell phone. He will not have any problems with his phone. Magic: Magic is very effective tonight, some times too effective. It must be the work of the full moon. Animals: Pets will stay close to their owners but otherwise act normally. ???: No unusual activity(?) Lithuania visits the spring at night. Despite his experience, anyone who visits the spring after this will notice nothing out of the ordinary. A voice speaks to Italy. Iceland and Hong Kong go to the mansion but are unable to explore further. The United Nations is notified and sends a reminder out. Iceland is the only one able to receive it. Germany, China, Netherlands, Seychelles, and Japan hear things in the middle of the night. Day One | Night One Day 2 will go up on 4 June.

[Has already set up the small tent he'd been supplied with near the site they'd chosen for the larger group tent, but isn't...quite...sure he should get involved. The others seem to be having a good time with their difficulties.

He'll just watch from over here and wait to see if they really need his help. Assembling a tent isn't nearly as complex as assembling a robot kit, after all.]

[Holland's tent is completely set up. Not surprisingly, he's decided to set up the tent he brought right on the first night and sleep alone. He might already be in it with his wind-up lantern, reading or even trying to sleep.]

[so it took him almost the entire day to make a simple set up of a camp fire and a pot full of water (feel free to say your character helped him). having snack breaks and a good number of naps didn't help me exactly, too. anyway, he's cooking pasta now because he's very hungry. he also has a bottle of italian wine with him... but he forgot to bring something to open it with.

[Lithuania, introvert that he is, needs just a bit of alone time after spending the day setting up a tent and spending time on the beach with close to forty other countries, so he's wandered a bit down the path into the forest (bringing his flashlight along, of course) and ended up at the spring.

Feel free to ruin his alone time.]

( The spring is located in a small opening in the forest.

The only light in the area is the moon in the sky and the light Lithuania brought with him. The light doesn't shine very far either.

It is also very quiet out here. Lithuania will not hear water, wind, or any wildlife around him.

[Iceland is sitting out at the end of the dock now that it's nighttime and therefore cooler. He's collected some stones he's skipping across the ocean water, his feet dipping off the edge and into the sea.]

[ She watched him for a moment, before approaching him with a few stones herself, throwing one just to try. Oh. It simply fell into the water, which got a long sigh out of her. ]

[Germany has decided to walk down the beach to get some very necessary quiet. Maybe even find a place where the moonlight is bright and combined with his little flashlight will let him read a few pages.]

[ Lili, being far to shy to stay with everyone else has chosen to take a walk herself, a very bright smile showing up on her face once she spotted Germany, quietly making her way over to him. ]

[Night fishing! Near the cliffs, using a long stick with a knife tied to the end as a makeshift spear. You might see a person standing out in the ocean, perfectly still, staring down into the water intently.]

[ Apparently cheerful as anything, sitting near EE tent with a candle (yes, who needs torches like a normal person), crushing a few garlic cloves with a pestle and mortar. As you do. ]

[There's a small light inside the tent, or at least there was. As it suddenly dims there's a rustling and grumbling from inside before Latvia crawls out with a torch and a book under his arms. Getting to his feet he notices Romania sitting outside.]

So that's what that smell was...

[ She wanted to call her brother, since she could almost swear he was fretting by now but it didn't work, so she, herself is worriedly pacing around where most of the tents are, trying to catch a signal. ]

[He pokes his head out of the tent when he hears her voice.]

So she's sitting with legs crossed in the sand, admiring the beautiful stars. Despite the full moon there's still more to see than you'd find the cities.]

[ That's totally cool. This isn't at all spooky or anything, being out here on their own in the middle of the night. ]

[Latvia gets up as he sees Lithuania approaching]

You wouldn't happen to have any spare batteries would you? The ones in my torch are dead...

[He's moving to look through his pack for extras, though--this is Lithuania, of course he has extra batteries.]

[ Portugal is curled up in her sleeping bag, reading a book by torch light. Every so often you might hear her quietly sniffle a bit... How could Fernando do that do Maria? ]

( While Portugal is reading, she will hear someone opening the tent's entrance.

The zipper moves very slowly and sounds jagged, like it's getting caught on the fabric.

When Portugal looks up, the entrance is partially unzipped but no one is standing there.

Whoever it was must have left. )

It takes awhile for camp to quiet down. Everyone goes to sleep at different times. In the middle of the night, the following nations will hear things.

Germany will be able to hear someone whispering loudly in the middle of the night. It's annoying but not out of place considering that some nations might still be awake. These voices do not stop until around 5AM.

Japan will hear someone outside rummaging through some bags. It sounds like someone is getting some bottles of water from the case outside.

Netherlands will hear pages turning in the middle of the night. Occasionally, the person reading will mumble something but otherwise, they are very quiet.

China will hear someone leave the tent around 4AM.

Seychelles will hear two of the pots fall outside at the same time. A voice will call out, "Sorry!" Next, she will see a few shadows run by the tent, towards the woods around 5AM. She will hear them laugh in the distance but nothing else will happen.

Note: All activity will stop the moment someone tries to investigate but resume the moment they go back to sleep. Investigating will show nothing out of the ordinary.

[Germany wakes up from the whispering and frowns at the night, trying to fall back asleep which does not work.

After a while, he will stop tossing and turning.]
