Night One After an excited day, night falls on the island. The beach is surprisingly bright at night thanks to the full moon above. As it was during the day, the island is very quiet at night and sounds consist of calming waves, soothing wind, chirping insects, and birds in the forest. Status Weather: Cool with clear skies and a light breeze. Electronics: Overall, electronics function normally. Unlike during the day, Nations will be completely unable to catch any signals. Sorry, you'll have to update your F*cebook another time. Things of note: Hong Kong's MP3 player will freeze when he tries to listen to it. Turning it off and then back on will correct the issue. The batteries in Cuba and Latvia's flashlights will die despite the fact they had new batteries in them. They will have to replace the batteries to get the flashlights to work again. Contrary to everyone else's wireless troubles, Iceland will be the only nation with any sort of signal on his cell phone. He will not have any problems with his phone. Magic: Magic is very effective tonight, some times too effective. It must be the work of the full moon. Animals: Pets will stay close to their owners but otherwise act normally. ???: No unusual activity(?) Lithuania visits the spring at night. Despite his experience, anyone who visits the spring after this will notice nothing out of the ordinary. A voice speaks to Italy. Iceland and Hong Kong go to the mansion but are unable to explore further. The United Nations is notified and sends a reminder out. Iceland is the only one able to receive it. Germany, China, Netherlands, Seychelles, and Japan hear things in the middle of the night. Day One | Night One Day 2 will go up on 4 June.

[ Apparently cheerful as anything, sitting near EE tent with a candle (yes, who needs torches like a normal person), crushing a few garlic cloves with a pestle and mortar. As you do. ]

[There's a small light inside the tent, or at least there was. As it suddenly dims there's a rustling and grumbling from inside before Latvia crawls out with a torch and a book under his arms. Getting to his feet he notices Romania sitting outside.]

So that's what that smell was...

[ He looks up at Latvia as he emerges from the tent, but carries on with what he's doing. ]

Ah, da, sorry about that. I'm just preparing a paste.

[balzams]

What for?

[Latvia half contemplates asking he he could borrow a candle for reading, but knowing his luck he'd set his book on fire]

[ Romania would probably lend him one, but yes, probably not the best idea. It takes him a moment or two to answer because he appears to be murmuring something that sounds suspiciously like an incantation as he finishes crushing the cloves. ]

Preventative measure of course. Just in case. [ In case of what Romania... ]

J-Just in case of what?

[He doesn't like the sound of that chanting]

[ Still smiling, apparently oblivious. ]

Ah, you know, strigoi. Restless spirits, that kind of thing.

[Latvia's not sure he's comfortable sharing a tent with Romania for the whole trip]

Heh, w-well it's not like they actually exist or anything.

[At least that's what he tells himself]

Is that so? [ He chuckles quietly. ] I suppose that's what most believe, isn't it.

If you change your mind though, let me know. I brought plenty of this. [ Gestures to the garlic. ] Put a clove under your pillow or in your sleeping bag and you should be fine. [ Apart from the smell. ]

Uh... Right, sure.

[This is starting to get a little creepy for him so he quickly changes the subject]

Um... you wouldn't happen to have any extra batteries, would you?
