Night One

Night One After an excited day, night falls on the island. The beach is surprisingly bright at night thanks to the full moon above. As it was during the day, the island is very quiet at night and sounds consist of calming waves, soothing wind, chirping insects, and birds in the forest. Status Weather: Cool with clear skies and a light breeze. Electronics: Overall, electronics function normally. Unlike during the day, Nations will be completely unable to catch any signals. Sorry, you'll have to update your F*cebook another time. Things of note: Hong Kong's MP3 player will freeze when he tries to listen to it. Turning it off and then back on will correct the issue. The batteries in Cuba and Latvia's flashlights will die despite the fact they had new batteries in them. They will have to replace the batteries to get the flashlights to work again. Contrary to everyone else's wireless troubles, Iceland will be the only nation with any sort of signal on his cell phone. He will not have any problems with his phone. Magic: Magic is very effective tonight, some times too effective. It must be the work of the full moon. Animals: Pets will stay close to their owners but otherwise act normally. ???: No unusual activity(?) Lithuania visits the spring at night. Despite his experience, anyone who visits the spring after this will notice nothing out of the ordinary. A voice speaks to Italy. Iceland and Hong Kong go to the mansion but are unable to explore further. The United Nations is notified and sends a reminder out. Iceland is the only one able to receive it. Germany, China, Netherlands, Seychelles, and Japan hear things in the middle of the night. Day One | Night One Day 2 will go up on 4 June.

Those batteries are brand new, so they should work for the rest of the trip as long as you don't leave the light on.

[Lithuania hesitates about answering Latvia's question before he answers.] I was out by the spring in the forest and I heard someone call my name a couple of times, that's all. No one says they called me, though.

If it was someone by the spring maybe they're still out there? Who's not at the campsite right now?

I haven't been to the spring yet though, is it nice?

Someone was definitely calling me from the beach. It's a little eerie out there at night, honestly. I'm sure it would be much nicer during the day.

[balzams]

Weird... I don't think I heard anyone.

[It's silly but little things like that seem to spook him and he hopes it really was just Lithuania hearing things]

Heh, but I guess anywhere on a deserted island would be weird during the night. Maybe we could go there tomorrow.

[vytis]

I'm sure it was just a bird or something like that. A parrot, maybe. [He's not really that sure, but there's no reason to worry Latvia.] We could. It would be a good place to get water for cooking so we don't have to use the water bottles for it.

[balzams]

[He looked at him a little confused before he realize that Lithuania was probably not talking about the 'water' bottle he'd bought with him]

Oh! Yeah, that sounds like a good idea.

Is it, out of the way? Like are a lot of people likely to go there?

[vytis]

It's not too far off, but you'd have to go a little way through the forest to get there. [He gestures off at the path that leads into the dark forest.]

[balzams]

So, do you think Prussia would make the effort to get there?

[vytis]

Probably not unless he wanted to bother someone he saw heading out there. [Pausing to consider.] Or maybe if Germany or someone convinced him to go get water. Why?

[balzams]

[He fidgets with the switch on his torch a little]

No reason...

Besides, you'll be with me so I guess it doesn't matter.

[vytis]

[Raising an eyebrow.] If he's bothering you, it's probably best to ignore him. He just wants attention.

[Treating Prussia like a middle school bully, yes.]

[balzams]

[He frowns, much rather giving Prussia a taste of his own medicine than ignoring him]

I was ignoring him until he snuck up on me. I didn't even know he was there.

[vytis]

What did he do?

[balzams]

He dumped a bag of crabs on my head and took pictures. Then he insulted me...

[vytis]

[Sighing. Prussia, why are you Prussia.]

I guess it wouldn't be that terrible to try and get back at him.

[balzams]

I know!

I've been thinking all day though and I still haven't come up with anything good...

[vytis]

Maybe you could convince him the island is haunted, or something like that. [Lithuania's mind is still at least a little on the weirdness at the spring in the forest, obviously.]

[balzams]

[Latvia just rolls his eyes]

That's really lame. Besides, he'd never beleive me.

I want to do something like... like get him naked and cover him in leeches while everyone watches.

[vytis]

[L-Latvia...] Don't you think that's a little bit extreme?

[balzams]

[Sigh]

Maybe...

But I want to do more than just lie to him...
