Night One

Night One

After an excited day, night falls on the island. The beach is surprisingly bright at night thanks to the full moon above. As it was during the day, the island is very quiet at night and sounds consist of calming waves, soothing wind, chirping insects, and birds in the forest.

Status

Weather: Cool with clear skies and a light breeze.

Electronics: Overall, electronics function normally. Unlike during the day, Nations will be completely unable to catch any signals. Sorry, you'll have to update your F*cebook another time. Things of note:

Hong Kong
's MP3 player will freeze when he tries to listen to it. Turning it off and then back on will correct the issue.

The batteries in Cuba and Latvia's flashlights will die despite the fact they had new batteries in them. They will have to replace the batteries to get the flashlights to work again.

Contrary to everyone else's wireless troubles, Iceland will be the only nation with any sort of signal on his cell phone. He will not have any problems with his phone.

Magic: Magic is very effective tonight, some times too effective. It must be the work of the full moon.

Animals: Pets will stay close to their owners but otherwise act normally.

???: No unusual activity(?)
Lithuania visits the spring at night. Despite his experience, anyone who visits the spring after this will notice nothing out of the ordinary.

A voice speaks to Italy.

Iceland and Hong Kong go to the mansion but are unable to explore further. The United Nations is notified and sends a reminder out. Iceland is the only one able to receive it.

Germany, China, Netherlands, Seychelles, and Japan hear things in the middle of the night.

Day One | Night One
Day 2 will go up on 4 June.

Mesan! See, that resolution is improving international cooperation already. [ or so she would like to think. ]

You're pretty cheery about this. [ Whereas he is pretty lineface. ]

[personal profile] seyitloud 2012-06-04 01:02 am (UTC)(link)
[ this is seychelles. she is cheery about everything. well, almost. ]

Huh? Yeah! This place is almost like home away from home for someone like me despite the differences. It's also nice to be able to get away from all my troubles for a bit, too.

[ She reminds him a little of Taiwan in that way. ]

Yeah? So this is kinda like your place a little?

[personal profile] seyitloud 2012-06-04 01:18 am (UTC)(link)
Yup. I still miss some things from home, of course, like the animals that can only be found in my house … but it could always be worse, and anyway, it's only for a few days.

Yeah, when you think about it, this is a pretty short trip.

[personal profile] seyitloud 2012-06-04 05:01 pm (UTC)(link)
Right! No sense in being too homesick when it's just a five-day trip.

[ they still need a place to sleep, though, even if it's just for five days. she stops only a few feet away from where the others are attempting to set up camp. ]

Oh, there they are!

You've got it. [ He looks ahead at the group. ] What d'you think we should help with first?

[ "Help." ]

[personal profile] seyitloud 2012-06-04 11:31 pm (UTC)(link)
From the looks of it?

Everything.

[ Cuba seems to be the only one getting anywhere. ]

I dunno how much good I can do. It's been awhile since I went camping.

[ A long, long while. ]

[personal profile] seyitloud 2012-06-04 11:47 pm (UTC)(link)
Actually … camping is forbidden at my house, so to be honest, I probably know about as much as you do.

[ she probably should have mentioned that earlier. yeah. ]

It can't be that hard to figure out, though, right?

[personal profile] bauhinia 2012-06-05 12:31 am (UTC)(link)
Really? Why's that?

[ He's full of questions. ]

I bet it's not too hard.

[personal profile] seyitloud 2012-06-05 12:38 pm (UTC)(link)
To preserve the environment, of course! You can never be too careful.

[ seychelles is okay with this. it's not often people ask her questions about her house! ]

Especially since it looks like a lot of the others have already set their tents up. [ if those guys can do it, so can they!

maybe.

Oh yeah, that's like, a good idea. [ He's on board with this. And he is insatiably curious, that too. ]

Yeah, if the old man and eyebrows can do it, surely we can. [ Hah... ha... ]

[personal profile] seyitloud 2012-06-07 07:38 pm (UTC)(link)
That's the spirit! Besides, it would be embarrassing to let a bunch of old guys beat us, right? [ even though they have old farts like rome and turkey in their tent, too … ]

No kidding. [ He half-rolls his eyes. And maybe they just have the cool old guys, who knows? ] If they can't figure it out, we totally can. [ By "them" he means the others. Greece, Spain, Italy... yeah, somehow he has this feeling they won't be getting on the ball particularly fast. ]
