Day Two

Day Two The sun begins to rise and cool morning comes. Early in the morning, there is a low mist coming from the forest but it isn't anything strange considering the environment. However, combined with how quiet it is. . . it does look kind of creepy. Fortunately, as the day goes on, it gets warmer and brighter. The mist dissipates and the birds begin to call out. The first few people to wake up might notice some things have moved around while they were asleep. The pots and pans that were left outside have been moved several feet away. Several bottles of water are missing from the cases and can be found scattered around the sand. The spring is calm and peaceful. It is quiet but not too quiet like it was last night. Status Weather: Sunny, clear, and very warm with a light breeze. Electronics: It is impossible to get any sort of reception on the beach. Any nation will a cell phone will wake up to find a message from the United Nations. Some nations might receive the same message more than once. It looks like someone tried to send the message multiple times to make sure it went through. Message: "do not make him angry again" Magic: Magic is not always effective today. For every five times you cast a spell, it might not work once. Otherwise, everything is normal. Animals: Normal on the beach. Any pets that go into the woods will stay close to their owners. Pets will become upset around the spring and staying around too long will result in the pets leaving for the beach. ???: Several bottles of water are missing from camp. They can be found scattered in the sand. The entrance to Tent Four was left open over night. The pans and pots have been moved. Day Two | Night Two Day 3 will go up 6 June

[Lithuania will let Latvia get a decent head start before he starts following the younger Baltic up.]

[balzams]

[For the most part he seems to be doing okay, a misstep here and there but nothing that sends him tumbling back down. At worse he'll freeze to the spot for a few moments before carrying on]

[vytis]

[Latvia tends to make him nervous in general just because of how hesitant he can be, but so far everything seems to be alright. Lithuania follows behind Latvia easily enough.]

[balzams]

[After a long while of fighting with the cliff face and one instance of losing his footing completely, Latvia manages to drag himself back onto solid ground. For a moment he just lays there trying to catch his breath]

[vytis]

[Lithuania perches on the edge of the cliff once he's gotten up, looking much more energetic than Latvia. He stands up and takes a look out at the island.]

Oh, you can just see the mansion.

[balzams]

[He pushes himself up into a sitting position and looks out in the same direction as Lithuania]

There's a mansion?

[vytis]

Mmhmm, over there. [He points.] The owners of the island live over there, or so I was told.

[balzams]

Really? Why couldn't we stay in there instead?

[vytis]

We're not to disturb them unless there's an emergency. I got a text message reminding me this morning...

[balzams]

You did?

[Latvia takes his phone out of his bag and turns it on. Sure enough]

Oh! I got one too. Do you think some people were bothering them last night?

[vytis]

Apparently. [Lithuania sits back down on the cliff.] It looks like it would take a while to get all the way across, though. I wonder who it was?

[balzams]

I guess someone who likes walking? I mean if it's far...

What do you think the people that live there are like? I mean, they must be rich if they own an island. Do you think they're the eccentric types or the Scrooge types?

[vytis]

If they're letting a bunch of us use the island? Probably eccentric.

If they have a boat it wouldn't be as bad, I don't think.

[balzams]

Do they have a boat? I don't see one...

[vytis]

[Lithuania squints out at what he can see of the house.]

They must, or how would they ever leave? Maybe they have a boat house.

[balzams]

Or maybe they have like, some kind of secret cave under the island where they keep it.

Or if they're eccentric maybe they don't leave...

[vytis]

Living on an island in the middle of nowhere forever sounds lonesome.

[balzams]

Well... you don't know how many people live there.

Or maybe they're just one of those people who likes to be alone...

[He can't really see why someone would want to be that separated from society though. At least unless they were hiding something. Latvia starts to shiver a little, having successfully creeped himself out]

[vytis]

[Whoops, better try to cut this off at the pass.]

I'm sure they can't want to be left alone that badly if they let us vacation here.

[balzams]

I guess not.

Wait, what if they have some kind of bargain with the world's governments?

What if he's trying to buy them off for doing something really terrible?

[vytis]

What--buy them off, really?

[balzams]

I don't know!

They're rich and eccentric!

[vytis]

I'm sure they're perfectly friendly!

[balzams]

Yeah, telling us to stay away unless it's an emergency screams friendly.

[vytis]

...Would you want some of them bothering you at all hours of the day? [Gesturing with his head back toward the beach at the other nations.]
